What Is the ELDT Theory Course?
The Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) Theory course is the federally mandated knowledge portion of CDL training. Set by the FMCSA, it's required for anyone obtaining a Class A or Class B CDL for the first time, upgrading their license, or adding certain endorsements. You must complete it before you're eligible to take your CDL skills test.
